Since
1999, a potter and sculptor's art studio has graced the steep hillsides
overlooking Elk Hollow in Wisconsin's southwest coulee region. From
this wooded valley and the gardens on its edge, Randy and Pooka gather
a bounty of natural themes for their work at Elk Hollow Pottery.
Each
piece is thrown on a potters wheel, then faceted, fluted, or carved.
Each hand carved piece is individually designed and hand sculpted. These
collaborative pieces have become their hallmark.
In 2002, tiles were added to to Elk Hollow Pottery. The deep relief
tiles are original designs that are molded, hand pressed and hand glazed.
Many
people who appreciate American Art Pottery or own an American bungalow
include Elk Hollow Pottery in their collection. However, the timeless
quality of their pottery and the broad price range makes it a great
addition to any home.
